Having played way too many computer games myself, I thought the idea of being trapped in one was really interesting, and it was that, and the fantastic animation, which kept me watching. I picked up this anime after watching Sword Art Online (I'll never quite get used to the oddness of that name) and after mostly enjoying the series, decided to check out one recommended item, namely Accel World - written by the same author. I can't get behind a show if the main character is just so unlikeable.Р”Р„h, Accel World. It may get better but from what I've watched so far, its not good. However, before I make a fair complete judgement on this show I will continue to watch it. I feel physically ill trying to continue to watch this show. The enjoyment I'm experiencing right now is almost nil. Haru's artstyle is also somewhat jarring, being drawn in a 'chibi' style while everyone else is designed more 'shonen' style. The animation isn't bad, however the fight scenes lack any real impact to me. Like come on, fall in love with someone worthy PLEASE. I suppose it's because he's the main character, therefore he has to have all the girls wanting his D. The most likeable character in the show, Kuroyukihime, falls for Haru, leaving me to ask the question '.Why?'. You don't make stupid assumptions and use that as justification to say terrible things to those close to youChiyuu and Taku aren't much in the way of characters but at least they're likeable. The whole pawn speech he gave to Kuroyukihime was the last straw for me. 'OH I GET BULLIED, LIFE IS A LIVING HELL. HOW?! You have two good friends, both of which have been trying to help you for who knows how long, and you've been refusing. He also complains about wanting to get away from the real world, claiming it to be a 'living hell'. 'Oh, I get bullied everyday therefore I get to treat my friends poorly'. Sure he's treated poorly and I feel pity for him but how can any of the characters truly like such a toxic personality. How am I supposed to get behind our main character when he is so fucking unlikeable. Haru, our main character, is not likeable at all. This all goes out the window within the next 5 minutes. In a way where I as a viewer looked at him and thought 'Man, I feel sorry for this guy'. His entire design is based around garnering sympathy from the audience.

Haru, our main protagoinst, is meant to be someone we identify with and empathize. I haven't seen the whole show, so I don't think it's entirely fair to give critique it at the moment, however I just need to get this off of my chest.Р”Р‡irstly, let's discuss the characters. Never have I ever wanted to stop watching a show before until I watched this. Haruyuki, with Takumu supporting him, determines to end their plight before Kuroyukihime returns.I've seen good shows. The next day, Haruyuki confronts Seiji with his discovery and they agree on an ultimatum: settling their score with a final duel in the Unlimited Field where the winner claims all of the losers Burst Points.

Based on the swiping gesture Rust Jigsaw made whilst not wearing a Neuro-Linker Haruyuki deduces that their faction is using illegal Brain Implant Chips which they connect to networks with and only use their Neuro-Linkers just as they enter a duel thus masking them from the matching list. Later, Haruyuki analyzes all the data he has on Seiji (Dusk Taker). The next day, Haruyuki decides to talk to Chiyuri, who begins participating in battles with Dusk Taker, and although he doesn't understand her train of thought, swears to take back what Seiji stole from him. Later Haruyuki and Takumu plan their next moves with the latter grasping the basic concept of incarnation from Yuniko. Haruyuki catches a glimpse of him while making a strange swiping gesture but quickly loses him. Leopard then uses Silver Crow as bait to draw out Rust Jigsaw into a duel, where they quickly beat him and return to the real world to hopefully spot his real body. Despite this, Crow decides to believe in the good of Brain Burst. Episode Description: Blood Leopard explains to Silver Crow, the risk of overusing the Incarnate System since the power that it draws out, comes at a high price of causing a Burst Linker to lose their sense of self and give rise to a Chrome Disaster.
